THE POSITION
As a scrum master at TeamEngine, you will work closely with the Head of IT to plan and coordinate engineering projects and supervise multiple teams in the development of new and existing products. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of engineers as they develop, test and maintain our solutions. You will also collaborate with the product management team, to ensure that we are building the best products. You will provide leadership and technical skills, in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will be based in our office in Mauritius.
YOU WILL PRIMARILY WORK WITH:
- Manage each team’s scope and timeline
- Facilitate agile ceremonies; sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
- Coach team members in agile frameworks
- Data analysis
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Work with the Engineering Manager to handle backlogs and new requests
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Help build a productive environment for the team members
- Assisting with training, talent development, and building the right teams
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have experience with scrum. You have leadership skills along with a strategic and analytical mindset and a problem-solving attitude. You are a great communicator with the ability to translate complex to simple, bringing ideas to life.
You care about your team, and you are passionate about giving feedback, mentoring and helping people. You are willing to learn and gain the expertise needed to be successful in your role and to become a scrum master.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a Scrum Master or been a part of a scrum team
- Background in IT
- Data Analysis skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
It is a merit if you have experience within:
- Working with remote teams
- Familiarity with software development or QA
